Bedroom Dresser

The client brief sounded contradictory at first in that they wanted a dresser that would take up less space in their bedroom but provide them with more storage than their current dresser offered. Undeterred by this challenge we set about coming up with a simple contemporary design which, despite technically going against the wish to take up less space, actually managed to make the room feel bigger.

By reducing the footprint, using a light-coloured wood and almost doubling the height of its predecessor, the new dresser created the illusion of increased space within the room. Constructed of sturdy Birch Plywood, the new dresser was more than strong enough to hold the client’s clothes, boasting three large and two smaller drawers mounted on soft close runners with neat cut-out drawer pulls.
